That was copied over by Track of the Wolf. On a difficultly level, I can't really say much because its my first kit build.

 
First off, let me say that I am brand new to flintlock hunting. I have been hunting my entire life and been around guns my entire life. I have hunted with in line muzzle loaders for many years. The Walker is awesome for its size and the history around it, but that size is exactly what eventually makes it just turn into a PITA to shoot. The Dragoon has all the good parts of the Walker while being significantly handier.The patent breech in percussion guns is safer and easier to clean. Drum and nipple breeches are manure from several perspectives. Most modern patent breeches on the factory made guns are designed to be cheap to make and install. I believe the Nock antechamber breech gives better velocity but experience is limited.You can find the bench design online or in Chris Schwarz's book "Workbenches". Look up "Roubo" bench online. The metal vises are from Woodcraft I believe. They cost about $90 at the time (10 years ago). The rotating jaws are very useful. I shot pyrodex in it and had a stuck ball. So to help lodge it lose I soaked it in lightly soapy water to help break it free. Then I use a scale that has very fine measurement and also measures in pretty much all different units but I use grains. I start by measuring out 47 grains of the chlorate, 30 grains of the antimony and 21 grains of the sulfur and dump them together in a little glass dish.I have a 1861 Springfield that has an exceptionally stuck minie ball. Like it's bad. I tried blasting it out atleast 10 times it hasn't moved. I tried the grease gun but the grease went around the minie so that didn't work. I tried the dawn thing, just to slimy for my liking. I use simple green and water as my patch lube 50/50. I keep the little hand sanitizer containers with the snap open lids on them and use it for woods walk, they work great. My buddy gave me some vape oil containers with screw tops, wash them out and put the simple green mix ...JB may be too fine, depending on how rough the bore actually is. 320 grit Clover compound is good as is fine valve grinding compound. If the bore shows reamer marks across the rifling that may be the problem. If it's smooth then it's something else wrong, like the lube. I have said before the first thing to do with a colt clone is to smooth the hammer face. This is the most common cause of cap jams. I use a hard arkansas stone on the face of the hammer to smooth it.
